A grade
A grade put a great effort to keep final premiership contenders Centrals
to 0-2 at half time. However with Jason an injury in the first and coming off
at the start of the second, forcing an early interchange, Centrals quickly
started adding to the total. A red card in the second half left Naracoorte with
a man down and A lot of silly mistakes made by Naracoorte allowed centrals the
win 9-0. A strong effort in the back lines by Luke S. Dom A. Jason G, .replaced
by Peter B. and Under 17 Owen B. Midfield held strong under a lot of pressure
with Willy H. and Jono A. in the middle, And Akbari W. who was replaced by
Salvatore P. and Steve M. on the wings. Up front were Sky P and Antonio in his
debut. The side show promise in the first half however the second seemed too
much for them and they succumbed to the pressure.
B Grade
Centrals B Grade had a distinct advantage that was obvious early.
Naracoorte was slightly better off with 9 seniors and 3 juniors starting on the
pitch but with injuries again it was hard task. The team was strong in spirit
never giving up, B Grade captain Kevan Addicott was left with almost no voice
after the game showing the intensity of the game. The second half bought on
another injury with 3 seniors getting subbed for juniors. The Juniors played
fantastic with Luke Marshall getting Best on ground. The final score was 14-0
but a good game to the team.
Under 17s
With the strongest side
that we have seen at Naracoorte the under 17's played extremely well. However
Centrals proved too tough for them. For the first time this year Naracoorte was
kept goalless. Strong games by everyone on the side with a special mention to
the Michael Bartlett and Andrew Munro who played while still feeling pretty
unwell from a week of illness Centrals was able to maintain high pressure on
the united defence ending in a 7-0 victory for centrals. Well done to the
players that played 2 games.
