Sick Notes, The Second Coming and Mercenary Mancs‏

Your Week in Football
This week Gold Coast have been involved in a war of words with the FFA over the release of rising star Tahj Minniecon for a Young Socceroos game that takes place just before the A-League season starts. In unrelated news, Gold Coast have stated that Minniecon is suffering from the swine flu virus and has been quarantined until further notice. Possibly until just before the A-League kicks off against rivals Brisbane Roar on the 8 August. We've also had a series of humbling pre-season friendlies against far superior EPL outfits, Robbie Fowler doing what he used to do best - score, while Manchester City managed to continue their recruitment of the best players (who value money over personal pride) in the world. That's not all of them surprisingly enough.
