T[tots] V2 RETURNS THIS SATURDAY

We are delighted to announce that Telstra T-Tots Version 2 will commence Saturday March 12 at Grant High School.
The program, which commenced last year provides a unique opportunity for under 4, under 6 and under 8 players to take part in an inovative football program that will include the Round Ball's own Super Skills Program and a game every week.

The central aim of the Telstra T-Tots is to encourage children to develop basic football skills by practicing & learning with an age specific curriculum. This encourages children to develop close ball control, better first touch & greater confidence on the ball. However, this season includes two new innitiatives that CEO of the Round Ball, Scott Dickson, believes will be a huge hit. "This season we have devoted a section of our curriculum to co-ordination and movement. Last season we found that many children needed to work on co-ordination and as a result of our testing we have implemented this. The other initiative we are very proud of is we have appointed a female mentor to work with the girls enrolled in the program."

Dickson continued by adding, "The sessions encourage fun whilst in a structured environment to ensure the full participation of all children. The goal of the program is laying the right foundation to develop young Children to play the game the right way."

For the second time The Round Ball Community Football Development Program will be co-ordinating the T-Tots program and Dickson is delighted to be working with such young children. "This is the second time that we have worked with younger children via the T[tots] program and we are keen to look at this project as an educational and social opportunity to work with younger children and to introduce them and their families to soccer. Our involvement in the AASC program and the Playing for Life philosophy is what junior sport should be about, participation and fun. We will once again provide a 1 to 6 ratio for coaching purposes and that is sure to bring about some great outcomes."

T-Tots ensures that all children have fun in our sessions but know that every session must also be a development process in advancing a child progress with their football skills.

All Sessions are run for 55 Minutes
Programs run for 6 weeks during the school Term
Sessions are run Saturday mornings at Grant High School.

Limited numbers are available for each session

The sessions will provide young children with fun coaching to improve their balance, agility, co-ordination and confidence. The children will learn by discovery and each session allows playtime to enable parents to play with child if they wish.

TRB staff have been selected due to their experience with working with this age group with a 1: 6 ratio allowing maximum fun and development for every child.

The course will commence on March 12 with the under 4 group starting at 9am.
