Melbourne Fans Unite For Heart Health
The dynamic new beat of Victorian football, Melbourne Heart FC wants to invite fans off the stadium terraces and onto the turf of AAMI Park to form a giant, dancing human heart in the very first ‘Human Heart Beat’ in support of the National Heart Foundation.
Melbourne Heart FC has initiated the unique event in conjunction with its not-for-profit partner the National Heart Foundation to help raise awareness of the devastating effects of cardiovascular disease – Australia’s biggest killer.
1500 fans and their friends can show their ticker to create a ‘beating heart’ at AAMI Park before the Melbourne Heart FC Vs Newcastle Jets game on Wednesday 8 December, 2010.
Being a part of the ‘Human Heart Beat’ can help make a difference to the 46,000 Australians who lose their lives to cardiovascular disease each year. Every ticket sold will guarantee a $10 donation to the Heart Foundation to assist with their life-saving work.
Melbourne Heart community partner Metlink are also joining in and will pay for 100 public transport operator staff to participate in the Human Heart Beat.
Tickets for non-Melbourne Heart members are $20 each and they include:
• Entry to the Melbourne Heart FC vs Newcastle Jets game
• A red poncho and a bottle of water
• A minimum $10 donation to support the Heart Foundation’s life-saving work
Current Melbourne Heart FC members are also obviously welcome to be a ‘part of the Heart’ for a $10 donation to the Heart Foundation.
