Unlikely Appointments, Girls and Being Número Uno‏

Your Week in Football
The week's most ridiculous news yarn is a tight contest. Could Maradona, whose early coaching results have involved presiding over Argentina's biggest loss in over half a century, be looking to take over the reigns at EPL side Portsmouth? You could have been forgiven for laughing off such speculation. "Ha, Maradona at Portsmouth. Next you'll be telling me Sven Goran Eriksson is joining Notts County". Well quite.

You might think Con Constantine and Clive Palmer are pretty adventurous and "out there" kind of guys to run a football club. However AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi puts those pussycats (and a few NRL players) to shame with his antics.

In local news, someone once told me that "boasting is a sign of insecurity". I can't remember who said it, some loser presumably. With that in mind it is worth mentioning that our podcast, FourFourTwo Insider, is now Australia's (but including all the world's podcasts) number one sports podcast on iTunes. Have. That. Don't think for one minute you're popular enough to be different, so if you haven't downloaded it already, do it now.
