United Women's Soccer Club held its presentation evening at the Tapas Bar on last Saturday night.
United's coach, Lars Gustavsson, had requested that after each game all players submit votes for who they thought were the best players on the day. As you can imagine, there was a huge amount of tallying with every player who wore a United strip having the chance to vote, and getting votes during the year.
Even Amy Inglis and Carmen Schmalfuss, who joined United late in the year, received votes.
The winner was Jessica Martin-Brown who won the count convincingly. Runner up was Julia Reader, who did just enough in the last two rounds to jump to second position in the count.
Tanya Frost, who is a newcomer to the game this season, was second with two rounds to go, however she missed those rounds as she was on holiday.
The United players will be involved on Grand Final day as spectators however, for them the 2009 season was a successful one, officially finishing 5th on the SEWFA ladder.
