THERE'S a buzz about football in Warrnambool and it has nothing to do with the AFL or even Australian rules.
An interstate tournament is set to mark what could be the biggest start to the city's soccer season.
Warrnambool Wolves head coach John McMillan said the city would play Mount Gambier in South Australia for the first time.
"It's going to be big," he said.
"We are sending a mixed team to Mount Gambier and then next week they'll come to Warrnambool to play us."
The 2010 Wolves season starts tomorrow with under 10s and under 15s set to take to the Harris Street Reserve turf.
Meanwhile, the club will send mixed under 16 and under 25 teams to play at Mount Gambier.
"It's something that's a little bit different and we hope to host some more towns in March," McMillan said.
