Under 21 at 6.30pm / Seniors at 8.30pm
at North Geelong Soccer Club, Gibbons Rd , Lara
Western Suburbs are coming off a 4-2 win against Malvern City and from all reports are as strong as ever. Suburbs are always a force to reckon with in this league and are never humiliated. Which is what makes this a mouth watering contest.
The Warriors coming off their first win of the season against Preston will be buoyed, but coach Buljubasic will ensure that they don’t get ahead of themselves.
Demo and Cervinksi will be feeling that they have turned the corner both getting on the scorers sheet.
A loss to the defence will be Adam Zilic as he received two yellow cards last week and misses a week.
A slight shuffle in defence is required to cover the loss but Buljubasic remains positive that his squad can do the job.
“We want to give the fans their first home victory of the season and they deserve it, their support home and away is fantastic and we look forward to another big crowd to get us over the line”.
Under 21s will get the night underway though and we look forward to another energetic and entertaining performance.
Last week’s draw will be a disappointment in their books as they worked so hard to hit the lead only to lapse in concentration and let Preston share in the points.
Positive signs for the young Warriors as young Tom Dunn already selected and working well to keep his spot in the starting 11, along with that Dean Taravillo and Callum Ferguson have been called up to warm the bench, hopefully a sign of things to come for the boys as they find their feet in Div 1.
