FOURFOURTWO and adidas have teamed up to offer one supporter the opportunity to have Australia’s most unique World Cup experience – spending every tournament day inside a giant replica of the adidas Jabulani football located in Melbourne!
Standing at close to 6m tall, complete with everything you require for your month-long voyage, such as sleeping area, couches, and kitchen items and access to nearby hygiene facilities, and of course, viewing area so you can take in all 65 finals games without the distractions of the outside world. Plus a plasma screen and PlayStation 3 to pass the time - you should be a semi-pro FIFA player by the time you get out!
Entering your spherical dwelling on 11 June and remaining there until 12 July, you will receive a $10,000 prize package including adidas footwear and clothing, $3,000 spending money for your daily expenses, a laptop, plasma, PlayStation 3, EA Sports Games, flights and transfers from your nearest capital city, a Tim Cahill signed jersey and much more.
Now before you throw your hat into the ring too hastily, be warned that this is not a task for everyone. You'll be spending between 20 to 22 hours a day inside your capsule for just over a month. You'll have media commitments before, during and after the experience, and be expected to post daily blogs and do video diaries from within - so we'll need your writing and media persona to be up to scratch. There will also be special visitors to the ball and challenges too.
Finalists will also be required to participate in a medical test, psyche analysis and police check, plus agree to sign a formal agreement with adidas ahead of entry. You'll also need to be 18 years of age or over.
If you think you have what it takes - and please only serious applicants apply - then fill in your details and tell us why you think you're up to the task here. You need to get moving, applications close on Thursday, 20 May.
Once you've done that, email a current photo of yourself and your full name to liveinaball@fourfourtwo.net.au in order to complete your application.
FourFourTwo and adidas will then review the entries, select a top 10 and conduct interviews before announcing the winner in early June. Good luck!
