Media Release: Milan's stellar line-up headlines Serie A‏

AC Milan has its first chance to show off its new signings when they travel to Cesena for the opening match of round 2 of the Serie A on Setanta Sports this weekend.

Milan moved swiftly on the final transfer day to secure the services of not one, but three exciting individual players of the world game in Brazil’s Robinho from Manchester City, Swedish striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, from Barcelona and Ghana’s Kevin Prince-Boateng from Portsmouth via Genoa.

They join an already impressive line-up that includes Brazilian pair, Ronaldinho and Pato, as Milan tries to ensure an end to last season’s stunning success of their fierce cross-town rivals, Inter.

In other matches to be shown live on Setanta Sports this weekend, Brescia take on Palermo, Lazio meet Bologna and Napoli meet Bari.

Brescia had a disappointing start to their re-emergence in Serie A in the first round when they lost to Parma, while Europa League participant, Palermo, will be hoping to do better than their first round draw.

Lazio will also be keen to record a win against Bologna after a loss to Sampdoria in the first round, with Australian fans anxious to see if Lazio’s Mark Bresciano is selected.

Bari will be feeling confident against their cross-Campagnia rivals after their first-up – and surprise - win against Serie A powerhouse, Juventus. However, since round 1, Napoli has strengthened their side with the signing of Argentinean striker, Jose Ernesto Sosa from Bayern Munich as well as Algerian international midfielder Hassan Yebder from Benfica.

Setanta’s coverage of the Serie A includes improved analysis and commentary, including a weekly highlights program, a weekly magazine show and a regular Serie A news show.
