AN OPEN LETTER TO THE FOOTBALL COMMUNITY

Please find attached an open letter to all WBSA clubs, schools and the association. Once again we have offered our support to further develop soccer. We are keen to support the development of soccer and will consider all opportunities to assist in trainings, game day situations and the like. In a coaching sense, our number one goal is to assist you in improving the standard of football played at a local level.
We will endeavour to remain neutral, however we will give all we have to the task at hand to achieve the outcomes each party desires.
So, once again we would like to stress that the offer is there all you need to do ask.

All the very best

Scott Dickson

To whom it may concern,
2011 will see The Round Ball celebrate its tenth year of supporting football across the Limestone Coast and in that time we have remained committed to our goal of assisting to build a strong football culture throughout the region. We believe that this can only be achieved through more open and regular communication with like football cultures that can offer valuable advice, coaching and other resources.

We believe that a strong football culture is based on a solid grass roots football structure, extensive and accessible community and junior football programs, clear player pathways for all players, a competitive, challenging and even football league, and a representative team structure that inspires the region to compete on the highest stage.

Over the past several seasons we have brought Adelaide United Captain Travis Dodd to Mount Gambier for Reconciliation Week, successfully co-ordinated Josip Skoko’s return to the region to be presented the keys to the city, assisted in the visits of Frank Farina and Adelaide United, played in integral role in the development of Bushvision and the broadcasting of several local matches, and are in constant contact with innovative football programs and exciting guests.

As you are no doubt aware we are committed to supporting and developing football and initiatives such as Telstra T[tots], our Summer Development Program and our ever popular blog are a clear indication of our willingness to support and develop football in its many guises.
This year we are keen to support football and local clubs in any way necessary. We are willing to negotiate options with clubs to promote trainings, special events and club fixtures. We are keen to push your club and we are aware how tough it is to promote your club and gather support in the community. If we can assist in any way, just ask!

We will contact every WBSA club, school and the WBSA Board, once again, to offer our support and will continue to promote the clubs and individuals that are willing to support the development of grassroots football, cutting edge initiatives and maintain the high standards we are keen to pursue.

In return, all we ask is for you to identify a club contact person that can sms all results through on Sunday nights and that we be issued with a pass to attend your home games in 2011.

We are keen to assist and have several initiatives in the pipeline that will be of great benefit to your club and our listeners, including, the pursuit of selected live broadcasts on 5GTR and interviews post game with players and coaching staff.

We are keen to assist you and your members and continue to strive for excellence in our chosen field.

Thank you for your continued support.
