TIM SAYS EVERTON VISIT SHOWS RESPECT

The visit of a club of the standing of Everton is a sign of the progress football has made in Australia, according to Socceroos and ‘Toffees’ favourite, Tim Cahill.

Writing exclusively for thepunch.com.au ahead of the three match Everton Down Under series, Cahill said that English Premier League (EPL) sides want to come to Australia.

“What the visit shows is that the A-League is gaining credibility, recognition and respect for its competitiveness and quality,” Cahill states.
