Tips on shooting to score
Strikers/forwards tend to receive the most credit for scoring a goal, even though it usually came through a great build-up play or team effort.
However, anyone that has been put in the position to score in front of goal would agree that it's not an easy task!
Here are some things to think about when you’re in front of the goal:
• Try to aim for the corners of the goal, preferably along the ground.
• On most occasions, it’s safer to hit the ball with the inside of your foot rather then your instep, as there is more surface area, which gives you greater shooting accuracy.
• Take your time (as much time as you can before getting tackled, that is) and keep your composure.
Hopefully these few things can help you on your way to scoring plenty of goals and lead your team to victory!
