The Sharks host the game of the Round Ball Game of the Week on Sunday at Shark Park when they take on Gambier Centrals in what will be a crucial game for both clubs. The Sharks have had a torrid time since defeating league leaders Apollo in round one of the Dycer Constructions Premiership. Since then they have lost players through injury and suspension and struggled on the park, winning only one game in their last four fixtures. Lance da Rocha has added some class and the return of Matt Gordon this week will add a great deal in the middle of the park. Up front, Kasole has continued to provide a spark and he looked good early on last week against Inter. Their strength has been their work ethic and this will be a key onca again this week. Discipline will be in the spotlight as this fixture produced two red cards and a series of yellows the last time these two sides met.
Centrals cruised to a fine win last week against Blue Lake with the inform Mark Judd adding another double to his taking his tally to fifteen goals in only a handful of games. Alex Sims has been very good in the middle of the park and goalkeeper Will Bytheway has been the signing of season and has developed into a cult figure for the Lions who have conceded less goals than any side in the competition.
In other fixtures International will continue their winning ways against Blue Lake, Apollo should cruise past Portland and Naracoorte could add to the woes of the struggling Millicent who have had fifty goals kicked against them in their last five outings.
